What is true health?

This is a question I’ve been meditating on lately, and I want to share my insights with you about this, from a Quantum Medicine perspective. I first want to make a disclaimer that I am not someone who is anti modern medicine. I do however think there should be an integral approach in the way things are done, and there are some things that should be evaluated that are keeping us stuck as a society. With that being said; taking the conventional approach, if someone goes to the doctor because they are feeling generally unwell, unhappy, run down, and “off” (and they do NOT have an existing diagnosis), in many cases, blood work comes back normal, the doctor sends you on your way and recommends following up in a couple months just to “see where you’re at”. Sometimes they even provide a referral to a mental health professional. This doctor is not able to “help” you until your imbalance and dis-ease gets to a point of needing surgical or pharmaceutical intervention. At this point, only the symptom is being treated, not the root cause. True health cannot be achieved by slapping a label on a set of symptoms. It has investigatory value, but it lacks resolution. This leaves a massive portion of our population feeling hopeless, stuck, and crazy. I cannot tell you how many people walk in my office and say “Am I crazy?”….

I am here to tell you, NO, and there IS hope, and there IS another way!

In Quantum Medicine we look at different parameters of imbalance that could be contributing to your illness before it gets to that point. With the exception of incidental illness, like coming into contact with a contagious bacteria, etc, most dis-ease starts in the deeper layers (I will go into this another time) of who we are and can be addressed before manifesting into full blown chronic pain or dis-ease. These are the feelings we all sense and pick up on when we go “something is just not right”. Using something called neuromuscular biofeedback (or, muscle testing), we can find imbalances such as emotional traumas, environmental stressors, inherited/learned belief systems, or other physiological and energetic imbalances that are at the root of dis-ease.

Now, it’s very important to realize that the idea of going to see a Doctor, Naturopath, Acupuncturist, Chiropractor, etc, and saying “tell me what to do, to make this symptom go away” will never help us achieve true health. So many of us want someone else to tell us what to do, to fix us. Or just hand the baton over to someone else entirely. It would be easier, but evading responsibility in this way, will never work. It’s exactly why our current medical system isnt working for us. Even further, when we apply these same principles to alternative healing therapies, we are still just looking for a band-aid, surface level fix. This is a mechanistic worldview that perpetuates a victim mentality when it comes to our own health and wellness needs, whether or not you’re in the camp of Allopathic medicine or Natural healing. We have to start looking deeper. There has to be a paradigm shift in our hearts and minds in order to experience true health in our lifetime.

New earth, consciousness based medicine requires the patient to make the unconscious imbalances, conscious, observe them, and work with them, in order to achieve true health. What is this suffering here to teach us? How can we evolve through our own personal trials and tribulations? How is the body giving us cues to help us on this journey? The body is the key. It’s the pathway in. We MUST stop trying to shut-it-up. A great tool to utilize is something called neuromuscular feedback, or muscle testing. This is a form of Applied Kinesiology. We are simply communicating with the subconscious body-mind complex to find these imbalances, and bring them to light. When that happens, the innate intelligence of the body has something to work with, and shifts start to take place. In addition, the patient now has information to work with to make lifestyle changes or make different choices to continue the healing process on an interpersonal level. What a beautiful tool to have in your belt to support you in your personal evolution. You see, it’s an interplay between the healer and the healee, we are not handing the job over to someone else. Our health and vitality is too important for that. Viewing health in this way takes you from being a victim of your dis-ease, to a participant in your healing. Now, your healing journey really begins.

Though this idea might evolve as time goes on, right now, my idea of “true health” is not perfection, its to have the ability to integrate life experiences in a productive way, to experience a sense of wholeness and vitality in every day life, and feel empowered to support my wellbeing no matter what comes my way.
